Happy National day to all my Bhutanese followers ,17th of December marks the National day of Bhutanese nation which coincides with the coronation of His Majesty Ugyen Wangchuck, the First King of Bhutan. A very very Happy 106th National day!
I love wearing our national dress, kira is one beauty one must have. I wanted to blog on this day to keep a start of my kira collection. Here I'm wearing one of my mom's oldest kira, its around 25-30years old (mom's quite blur on exact number of years..); I have always loved the oldies fashions and going through mom's collection is one thing I'm never tired of.
My kira collection have just begun, I have hopes to see piles of kira in future to come ^^ (excited!)
Wanted to keep my hair in oldies/vintage Bhutanese style, I found out this was pretty much it (asked mom for some advice).
Oh..bytheway I shall be posting up some of my Nepal and Chelela's exciting trip pictures someday soon. ^^
Getting colder every passing day now, waking up early morning by 5am and heading to work is a torture. Nevertheless the cold brings me to layers..some layered up outfit for this cold day. Hope you guys are keeping yourself warm, I love the fact that sweaters are coming up and hooks are something to look forward to this cold season. I'm wearing very beige earthy yet some pop of green for my whole look today. Who says winter is all about wearing dull or boring black gray shades, right?
Boots are my bff in cold months, I tucked my skinny pants into a pair of knee length boots. A earthy colored sweater with a hat for a playful comfy combo. Completing the whole look by layering up with my tartan coat from Uniqlo.
wearing accessories are not really much for winter look, but I tried keeping it basic with a single long necklace, one key point is it will make you look taller and give your body definition better.
It's December already, I'm getting goosebumps all over. Fall has entered its cold edges and I have entered the army of Tartan pattern. Lately tartans are all in for Autumn season. Designers are hitting tartans this fall, Zara came up with very free basic styled tartan tops so did ASOS. So here I'm with my Tartan and the fall. Loving the Fall. Its beautiful. I have nothing glamours about this look, its simply feeling comfy and warm. ^^
Its so true that fashion comes as it goes, the old is always new in the end. Its always in a circle..isn't it?
Hey guys, keeping up with my post updates and working (job) at the same time is really a challenge for me now. But all in all that's me! I can never get tired of doing what I love (cheers for my spirits! ^_^ ). Well today I'm wearing the very basic items to a classic pairing. So this look is basic collage/school girl fashion. I've pretty much liked the idea of wearing cozy sweater over a collared Ts and A-line skirts. One versatile and easy combo for Fall isn't it? ^^
I'm quite not sure if that's a wolf or a tiger? lol..
Weather here is pretty weird, its too cold during morning hours and hot in the afternoons, drives me crazy. I wear layered up around the morning hours and have to thrown them off the next few hours! haha...That's pretty much what most people do here I think (*thinking... )
These pictures are all self-timmered, I think I'm improving my photography techniques.
Punched up my outfit for this fall in (head-to-toe) black with a bright red sling bag, and kept up a fun factor with a cheerful pink coat! Well, cold is here to stay eh? I had to have my bff boots on. Guess what guys... just a couple of weeks ago I realized that my closet have changed it's nature haha.. not that its all wild or other way around..but my colors have pretty much reduced in this colder season, but good thing like always I have my pop of vibrant colors always intact.
I'm wearing my thermal leggings inside so it kept me warm the entire shoot. I loved the leaves falling over the places...the best thing about fall is FALL ^_^
gave a pop of cheery blush for my makeup this time, I love to have blushes on during cold seasons.
Pretty at times life gets busy and at times you get so bored doing nothing! haha, I guess I had the second side today. I had done few designs last month, didn't get time to have them posted; so posting up my first one today; here I'm wearing my very different side of style, I like to keep my style versatile like always. I made this pelpum pencil skirt from a very vibrant silk kira piece. I loved the material pattern and the color, I thought it can turn into a lovely skirt if tried. So I decided to make one-a pelpum pencil skirt- check the pictures :)
Photo credit goes to my sister ^^
I kept the length a little longer than the market desired length, something to be more personalized and self choice. :) I added a polka-dot material to the waist line rather than using any other kira pieces, it was a tricky choice for me but than I realized that Bhutanese women have been carrying out those polka dot wonju fashion on the streets, which ultimately made me fix my mind to the same polka-dot wonju material. well finally the whole piece looked pretty fine, I wouldn't say I'm super happy with it but it didn't turn out that bad either I guess? ^_^ What do you guys say?
However..I wore it on my sunday out ,I matched it up with a ready made top, earthy yet vintage styled and the colors are very matured and sophisticated. I wanted to keep it very feminist and elegant.
some accessories, belt and watch from snake leather polished (stinky :P) and wore pearls...

Look forward for my other upcoming new designs.. ^_^
A little late for my new post update, I have been working on some of my own creations and yet busy with my professional side. But finally here I am with a post update! feather-a-trend! I'm pretty inspired with feather trend this season, and it looks like its everywhere in fashion world lately. I happen to get a feather touched top past few months ago and its just perfect for this fall. So this time rather than sticking to more accessorizes, I wanted my feather to be the vibrant one.
Feathers are really eye-catchy and its perfect for dressing up for my fall neutrals, and here I have totally tried balancing my colors for fall. I added a spiky rough edgy when it comes to my footwear. And DIY my own necklace, long and dangling through the center mid-line of my neck line makes me look taller. ^_^
This whole look is pretty elegantly edgy and comfortable ready to wear outfit!

lets be inspired by the birds and add some feather accents to our wardrobe for some nonchalant ease. Feathers are not just for special occasion now :)
